LMSW, CSWA

I believe that each person already possesses an abundance of strengths that contribute to their ability to heal and transform their lives.

As your therapist, my goal is to empower these strengths by creating a compassionate and authentic environment, leaning in with radical open-mindedness as we explore the dynamic textures of your feelings and experiences.

My love of working as a therapist is rooted in own my experiences as an adolescent, struggling to feel safe and seen, but who was surrounded by just enough trusted teachers, therapists, and community members that were able to guide me toward greater healing. I attribute much of my wellness today to the radical care and considerations of others in my community at the time – those who taught to me express my grief through art, checked in, offered nurturing where it was absent. I believe that at the core of therapy, is simply a safe and caring relationship that through active listening, validation, and knowledge to help can provide just enough to change the course of someone's life.

I spend much of my time with community and family, laughing with friends at dinner parties and getting outside as much as possible. When I am spending time alone, you'll find me painting, working on creative projects or showering my dog with love and attention.

I have extensive experience working with women and gender-expansive adolescents and adults navigating a wide range of concerns. I am well versed in working with those who struggle with self-injurious behaviors (including eating and co-occurring disorders), or experience familial or relationship distress, survivors of intimate partner violence, complex trauma, LGBTQIA+ issues, depression, anxiety, grief, PTSD, and a myriad of other difficult life circumstances. When working with young people, I have deep consideration of the co-occurring struggle that loved ones face, and have experience providing one-on-one or group support to parents and caretakers.

Counseling Technique

My approach is warm and empowering, centered in the belief that each person possesses an abundance of strengths that contribute to their ability to heal and transform their lives. My therapeutic style is informed by a holistic approach to care that aids in the promotion of long-term wholeness and healing in the mind and body. Through this holistic lens, I create a relaxed and open-minded space, integrating the humor, honesty, and critical consciousness that is so integral to my personality inside and outside of the therapy room. Calling on my background in Social Work, I support client’s in building greater self compassion through understanding how the systems in which we exist aid on our harm, and our healing.

My therapeutic orientation is trauma-informed and psychodynamic, honoring the complexities of your personal history and identities while integrating relevant interventions in service of your unique needs. Utilizing a variety of evidence-based interventions, I draw on valuable skills from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help improve emotional regulation and mindfulness skills. To further cultivate an inclusive, client-centered environment, I often utilize my lush background in the arts to carefully integrate creative expression, writing activities, and somatic interventions to explore diverse forms of communication.

I possess a robust and intuitive ability to work with the brilliant but nuanced minds of teenagers. To promote sustained well being within this population, I am proactive and thoughtful about integrating parents, school staff, and/or clinical team members in effort to uplift the important communities that surround young people outside of the therapy room.

Professional Background

I am a licensed Social Worker in the state of Oregon and New York who specializes in supporting adolescents, young adults and their families confronting a range of issues. I earned my bachelor's degree in Sociology where I actualized my passion for promoting wellness within school-aged communities through my time spent engaged in political advocacy work. I then proceeded to graduate from New York University, receiving my Master of Social Work degree. During this time I deepened my knowledge of child and adolescent trauma and family work through my position within various community-oriented, educational and residential settings.

I am formally trained in the use of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to manage some of those tougher challenges like self-injury, severe anxiety, and complex trauma through the use of emotional regulation skills, mindfulness practices, and with the goal of increasing self awareness and control over emotional and behavioral concerns. Additionally, I have worked closely with adolescents and adults who struggle with eating and co-occuring disorders. Drawing on my experience working in holistic residential & outpatient eating disorder treatment programs, I am equipped to work with a range of eating disorder behaviors from binging/restricting to exercise addiction. I promote a health-at-every-size perspective and advocate for radical body acceptance mindset in all adolescents and adults.

I am currently enrolled at the William Alanson White Institute of New York where I am deepening my knowledge of Child and Adolescent treatment through their 2025 clinical training program.
